Vladimir Lashin has been the head coach of Omega Gymnastics since 2000, and has also been the head coach of Team Canada. He has provided valuable services to the Women's Artistic Gymnastics National Teams and Gymnastics Canada, as the GCG National Coach/High Performance Director.


His expertise, energy, and commitment are greatly appreciated in the gymnastics community. Vladimir's 30 + years of high level gymnastics coaching is the key to guiding the path to Olympic level gymnasts.

Throughout the years Vladimir and Svetlana have collectively coached over 20 Olympic athletes making a great contribution to Gymnastics Canada.

Vladimir and Svetlana have both been awarded 'Coach of the Year' by Gymnastics BC. 


Svetlana Lashina is a professional gymnastics coach with over 25 years of coaching experience. She attended the Sports School of Olympic Reserve where she was awarded the 'Master of USSR', and became a member of the Mondovia National Team.

Following her success, Svetlana relocated to Australia and became Senior coach at the prestigious Victorian Institute of Sport. She was named Official Ballet & Choreographer for Team Australia.

In 2000 she joined Omega Gymnastics. Within the first year Omega an outstanding amount of 67 medals were won. Showcasing talent and launching Omega as the forerunner of High Performance Gymnastics throughout BC and Canada.

Svetlana attended 2016 Rio Olympics with Omega's athlete Shallon Olsen. 




Coaches Svetlana Lashina and Vladimir Lashin at Omega Gymnastics in Coquitlam received the Gladys Hartley Provincial Stream Coaches of the Year award.
